DISNEYLAND TRIP: DAY 2

Disneyland Trip Disneyland Trip
It's the beginning of day two, we wake up pretty early to get to there pretty early. Our breakfast place of choice was perhaps not the best. Ihop was the only place we thought would suffice. The service I might say was actually really good. Downfall, the restrooms smelled like chicken poop. Why?! we had no idea. We both agreed not to question it.
I don't think any of us took pictures of our breakfast this day,

Yes, today we are dressed to represent . We are proud to be who we are and say where we come from. :)

We walk in and things seem a little unreal, and as we enter towards the small town within Disney we see our first Disney guy get to take a couple of shots with Pluto :) We saw Mickey, and just as we lined up a girl tells us that they've closed off the line for now and that he would return 15 - 20 minutes. BJ and I spot these little boxes that seem to be 3d picture boxes of a re-created scene from a Disney cartoon. LOVE IT! just Beautiful.

We make our way towards the castle to where a statue of Walt Disney stands with Mickey. We want to take some pics too :) the girl who works for the park as a photographer takes some pics and one with Mickey.

I wonder what Goofy is thinking about, as he stands there. Perhaps he's thinking just like we are, to where we should go first. :)
ADVENTURE LAND!

We walked by something called Aladdin Oasis, didn't go in there but it seems like they're washrooms? Our first ride we darted for was none other than the Indiana Jones ride. At first I thought it was going to be a short ride, but it was longer than expected. It's like going down the rabbit hole, on some of these rides.

The line you see us waiting for above is some jungle adventure water tour ride. The guide of this tour feels like he wasn't enjoying his job very much and kept saying the same facts about all the animals. But he seemed to be doing his best, having a smile on his face and his energy high.

We went on a few rides in Frontier land, however we didn't end up taking any photos there. I wished we had gone into the haunted mansion but we didn't. We went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and at the start we thought we were just going to go around this small building in a little roller coaster boat device. Since it was so dark in there, you really couldn't tell. But it was so deceiving, soon after the ride starts you go around and then you drop into another world. The animatronics were pretty cool to see knowing they are some of the parks oldest.

We made our way around some other parts of Disneyland and was excited to go to TOMORROW LAND! :) My favorite ride was Astro Blasters cause of the fact that its interactive, you get to shoot stuff with your little blaster gun, and you get to twirl the machine about :) We went on a ride called Star Tours, having something to do with Star Wars and Disney threw me off a little but once the ride was over, I wasn't complaining it was actually pretty cool. The line up for these rides. Was not!

After this we walked about, checking out a building that reminded me of Science World, except things in this building was more dated, except for a few things. I think the building was called Innovations, it may be less Innovative in it's stylization, it sure does have a great view.

We went to go grab some lunch before heading to the Finding Nemo Submarine Ride, where you actually have to climb into a submarine which gets submerged into water and drives around, and through it's windows you see Nemo and his adventures.

We're making our way to Fantasy Land when we spot a family of ducks, little ducklings and mama trying to keep her little ones safe.

We take a picture infront of the Disneyland castle to later learn that it is Sleeping Beauty`s castle. Who of which BJ didn`t know that her name was Aurora.

I was pretty amused with Snow White ride where you`re ridding in a little cart that takes you through a series of doors, each door you go through is a different part of the story. However the story bounces from her introduction, then the introduction of the witch. Soon at the end the seven dwarfs appeared and they were frightened and pointing at the witch who appeared at their home. We go through the last set of doors and there we see a sign that say "And they lived Happily Ever After." I found myself asking, "what just happend?" .. we both were and were both laughing at how a large part of the story was shortened. Perhaps it was the fact that we were no longer children, going through this ride and we were processing things through logic and jumping the story was anything but logic, It was just funny.

It's a small world after all ride, the outside really reminded me of the ps3 game Little Big Planet. The ride: seemed to never end.

After Fantasy Land we went over went to Mickey's ToonTown. I was ecstatic, really don't ask me why, but it was perhaps the fact that going into ToonTown made me feel I was stepping into cartoon land. Soon entering ToonTown we saw Goofy taking pictures with people and decided to go up and line up. As we stood in line, the girl that works with Goofy tells us that they just closed the line to take pictures with Goofy. Denied AGAIN. This time she didn't even say when he was going to return to take more pictures.

There was Chip & Dales House, a little roller coaster which it's line up was bigger than it's really worth riding. We perhaps waited for 40+ minutes in the hot sun. Time not well spent. It was just way too hot.

IT'S WAY TOO HOT! especially as we stood in line for that roller coaster. After the roller coaster, or should I even call it that. We went and explored the area, took a picture with Mickey Mouse statue since it seems to be the best we're going to get since taking a picture with Pluto. We also wandered up Chip and Dales home. I soon came across Mickey Mouse's house and insisted that we go in and check it out. I was really happy about that. I felt very much like a maze as we went in. It also felt that Mickey was quite an organic lover, growing some of his own vegetables and even having his own chickens. Which I liked just taking a goofy picture with. It was soon where we were led to a little movie screening room which was pretty cool were you get to watch little small movies of Goofy, Donald and Mickey. I didn't know why some people were being escorted to another room considering I thought it was just the exit past the little theaters doors, until we were escorted. And there he was, the one and only.

We ended up lining up a bit to see Minnie Mouse but I really wanted to go through her house and see how it's set up and the design of it all. I thought it was really neat how you could open up her fridge and see her foods, and the dishwasher that filled with water.

After ToonTown we were basically done exploring the park and we went to go shopping, check out some other places, and caught our first parade. I tried on a sun hat of theirs and BJ liked it on me and thought it suited me well, I thought it made me look like a mom. I tried on a chewbacca hat and thought wow, I have an urge to buy this. But I would never wear it out. So didn't end up buying it. I also learned that the Disneyland castle was Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Who would have known.

'other Vancouverites were at Disneyland too and they shouted at us "VANCOUVER!" '

We walked about looking for a great spot for the parade. Apparently some other Vancouverites were at Disneyland too and they shouted at us "VANCOUVER!", and I waved back. As we waited for the parade to start, we took a picture together and that's just him pretending to be upset. However after the parade was over, our expressions most likely reversed.

BJ probably enjoyed it more than I did, as a little girl stood in front of me and basically blocked most of my view as she excitedly danced to the approaching floats and Disney characters waving to them as they passed by. I guess I could say I did enjoy them as they passed by. But I can say that Mickey Mouse can really rock it on the drums.

"I was pretty upset and started to think
that I didn't want to have kids.
"

The rest of our day was spent catching some rides, and then some shows. We went to catch dinner a little late and couldn't find a great spot to watch Fantasmic. From our location we couldn't see much and again during the show, some kids and adults decided to cross a handicap designated area which was roped off and climbed and sat on a fence in front of us. It took a few minutes for security to catch on and shoo them away. Most of what we COULD see through the tree and people, it seemed cool. Kinda. The HONEST truth. Most of the time I really didn't know what was going on. I just knew that at the end of it I was pretty upset and started to think that I didn't want to have kids. ( Yes, that's how upset I got with the various random children's actions through out the day )

Soon after the Fantasmic event we went to go find a place to watch the Fireworks show, this time we got a nice place to see it, even though it was a bit behind a tree. It was clear enough to see the whole thing. After the fireworks show we went to go seek one last ride which was a bob-sled type ride, which goes zipping down within a mountain. The line again was too long than it was worth. I hear screams through out the ride, but as we got to the end, I really didn't know what they were screaming about.

There was a ride in Tomorrowland that we had fast track for - Space Mountain I think it was for. we waited so long for that ride because between we had gotten the fast track and the time we were set to go on that ride, the ride broke down. When we returned in the night we entered into the fast track entrance, since we had a ticket from earlier on to the day. The girl at the front waved us through, and we walked all the way up to the entrance. When we were about to enter, BJ threw the tickets away thinking that they were of no use anymore since the girl just waved us through anyways. Then the door guy at the ride asks for our tickets. -_- really. We said we had them, and JUST threw them away, we got into the fast track line because we had shown it to the girl at the entrance of the ride.If we didn't have them she wouldn't have let us in. He still denied us. REALLY LAME! we walked off. We waited almost the whole day for the ride to re-open up too. Whatever the hype is for that attraction. I don't know if it is or isn't worth 150 minutes line wait for. But fast track tickets don't work, when the rides don't work either.

None of the rides throughout the park have gotten me off my seat (is what scares me on a ride). I did however get strangely wet through a few rides.

We went to 7-Eleven after the Disneyland to get some drinks and a big jug of water. I of course got ID-ed for having brought up booze to the counter. ( don't worry I'm older than I look ).

We got back to the Hotel, with tired feet and rested up for the next day ahead. Disneyland: California Adventure !
