After graduating high school

I took a few art courses at KPU and at the same time continuing to apprentice under a Vancouver artist, Mr. Mah Zi Ping and then 2002 started to study under another Vancouver artist Mr. Huang, a portrait artist who eventually sponsored me into the Chinese Canadian art scene and from there to participate in art shows around Vancouver. Here is a a snippet of a few art shows I’ve participated in. It was intimidating when I started, showing with those who were twice my age and more. I even had some question if my paintings were my own (and not my teachers). I continued and hustled hard enough to get an honorable mention. Although I stepped back from doing shows for a while, to grow, to watch, and refine a few things in my life. Time has gone by and even the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom has sprouted an offspring, making him think of the journey he has to take. Po searches for guidance here and as he meditates he is comforted when a swirl of peach blossom petals fly around him making him think of Master Oogway, one who gave him comforting advice there years ago when he became the dragon warrior and felt alone and searching for who he needed to be. DISNEYLAND TRIP: DAY 2

It's the beginning of day two, we wake up pretty early to get to there pretty early. Our breakfast place of choice was perhaps not the best. Ihop was the only place we thought would suffice. The service I might say was actually really good. Downfall, the restrooms smelled like chicken poop. Why?! we had no idea. We both agreed not to question it. I don't think any of us took pictures of our breakfast this day, Yes, today we are dressed to represent . We are proud to be who we are and say where we come from. :) We walk in and things seem a little unreal, and as we enter towards the small town within Disney we see our first Disney guy get to take a couple of shots with Pluto :) We saw Mickey, and just as we lined up a girl tells us that they've closed off the line for now and that he would return 15 - 20 minutes. BJ and I spot these little boxes that seem to be 3d picture boxes of a re-created scene from a Disney cartoon. LOVE IT! just Beautiful.   We

Happy 2012

I've been contemplating for a while to write my first post of the year. I wondered how it would be like. What would I say and in the end it came to the point where I was simply just thinking too much. ( Thinkitus ) This holiday season was full of festivities and events. Some with such a long line up that we just walked away from the event ( festival of lights. ) I hope it really snows next year so the lights can be that much more prettier. This year the new year was spent the way it should have always been. How every new year should be rung in and spent with someone you love. Family. Friends. This Christmas and new years was very different from the last. This year I didn't get a lot ( physical possessions ) but I did get a lot out of it. B-'s friends over the holidays have made me see the insight of how much family love there is there that surrounds him.
